Discover a stunning 4-day 4×4 adventure from Agadir, where you’ll explore breathtaking landscapes and immerse yourself in authentic Moroccan traditions. One of the tour’s highlights is a visit to the historic Kasbah Amridil, built in the 17th century by a descendant of Sidi Ahmed Bennacer, the renowned founder of the Ennaciria zaouia in Tamgroute. Originally established as a small religious confraternity, Amridil played a vital role in teaching Islamic principles and guiding the memorization of the Quran. The kasbah still preserves an ancient sundial, once essential for determining prayer times from sunrise to sunset. Strategically located on the famed “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs,” Kasbah Amridil served as a key stopover for trans-Saharan caravans, marking it as an indispensable waypoint in Morocco’s historic trade routes.

Day 01 :

Agadir – Ouarzazate (380 km)

Morning:

Depart from Agadir at 9:00 AM.
Begin your journey with a visit to Taroudant, where you’ll explore its historic medina, bustling souks, ancient ramparts, and the renowned Palais Salam.

Afternoon:

Enjoy lunch amid the lush palm groves of Tiout.
Continue onward to the iconic ksar of Ait Benhaddou—a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987—where you’ll tour the striking earthen architecture.

Evening:

Arrive in Ouarzazate and check in for the night.

Day 02 :

Ouarzazate – Tinghir (250 km)

Morning:

Start at 9:00 AM and travel through Skoura to El Kalaa M’Gouna, also known as the Valley of the Roses.
Visit Kasbah Amridil along a scenic track that winds through vibrant fields and quaint villages.

Afternoon:

Continue along the famed “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs” through the Dadès Valley.
Arrive in Boumaln Dadès and explore the dramatic Dadès Gorges during a lunch stop.
In the afternoon, venture to the stunning Todgha Gorges before returning to Tinghir.

Evening:

Overnight in Tinghir.

Day 03 :

Tinghir – Zagora – Erg Lihoudi (330 km)

Morning:

Depart Tinghir at 9:00 AM towards Alnif, eventually reaching Zagora for a midday lunch.
Continue south toward the village of Tamegroute, where you’ll visit a traditional local green pottery workshop, tour an underground kasbah, and view an ancient Quranic library.

Afternoon:

Proceed to the Tinfou dunes for a photo stop.
Further your journey south and, just before reaching M’Hamid El Ghizlane, navigate a rough 10 km track of rocky and sandy terrain by 4×4.

Evening:

Arrive at a desert bivouac in the heart of the golden dunes of Erg Lihoudi. Enjoy a memorable sunset over some of Morocco’s most breathtaking dunes before settling in for the night.

Day 04 :

Erg Lihoudi – Zagora – Agadir (540 km)

Early Morning:

Rise early to marvel at the sunrise over the dunes. Enjoy breakfast in the tranquil desert setting before departing.

Morning to Afternoon:

Board your 4×4 and travel back to the main road, heading toward Zagora and then Agdz, where you’ll break for lunch.
Begin the journey through the extraordinary Draa Valley—home to the world’s largest palm grove—traversing over 100 km of lush, scenic terrain.
Continue through charming towns like Taznakht and Taliouine.

Evening:

Arrive back in Agadir, concluding your epic adventure.
